Overview of the Delete Business Object action

The Delete Business Object action allows you to delete an existing instance of a selected business object from Ivanti Neurons for ITSM using its unique Record ID with the Delete a Business Object API.

Purpose

Delete an existing instance of a selected business object from Ivanti Neurons for ITSM using its unique Record ID.

Understanding the Delete Business Object action

The Delete Business Object action permanently removes a specific instance of a business object from the system. To use it you specify which system, business object, as well Unique Key (RecId) for the record.

Neurons for ITSM System

Select the Ivanti Neurons for ITSM system that the schema will be retrieved from.

Business Object

Specify the exact name of the business object. For example: Incident

Unique Key

The unique identifier (GUID) of the object instance to delete. This can be retrieved from previous steps in the workflow or hard set values.

Working with Delete Business Object action

Using the Delete Business Object action, you are able to delete any record for any business object as long as you have the Unique Key (RecId).

Before using this action, ensure you have the correct RecID and permissions to delete records from the targeted business object. Attempting to delete a record without appropriate permissions or with an invalid RecID will result in an error.

Use this action when a record is no longer needed or when cleanup operations are required within workflows.
